Daphne AL Dental Fillings

Do you have a cavity that needs to be filled? Cavities usually occur when a tooth begins to decay, and they are a direct result of poor oral hygiene. If you have a cavity, it could eventually result in the loss of your tooth if you don’t get to the dentist in time to get it filled to prevent further decay. If caught early enough, most cavities can be treated with a simple filling. Dr. Phillip Greer of Sweet Water Dentistry in Fairhope, AL, uses composite filling material to fill cavities. Composite is a filling material that is tooth-colored and blends perfectly with the color of your natural teeth. Because we can match the color of your teeth, composite fillings are almost invisible! At Sweet Water Dentistry, Dr. Greer uses a color shade guide to pick the best composite filling that will match the color of your teeth. Composite fillings are the best fillings esthetically and durably.

Gold and silver fillings have been used in the past, but now composite fillings are gaining more and more popularity. Because of the esthetic benefits, many people are getting their silver fillings replaced with composite fillings. This creates a more natural-looking smile, and no one will be able to tell that you even had any fillings done. Composite fillings are a very simple procedure, and they are bonded to your natural tooth. A curing light is used to harden the composite material immediately so that the filling is completely set before you even leave the office! All in all, there are many benefits of composite fillings: they improve your smile and looks, and are also long-lasting and durable. If you need to schedule an appointment for a filling, contact Dr. Phillip Greer of Sweet Water Dentistry in Fairhope, AL to schedule an appointment today. We look forward to seeing your smile in our office soon!
