Meet the Dentist, Dr. Phillip Greer
Dr. Phillip Greer is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Auburn University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.
Committed to continuing education, Dr. Greer has completed advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, implant-supported restorations, CEREC same-day crown and veneer technology, oral sedation, Invisalign, laser dentistry, periodontal care, endodontics, and CT scan interpretation. His implant education includes BioHorizons and TeethXpress training, as well as experience with full-arch options such as 3-on-6 implant bridges and All-on-4 implant dentures. He is also an Invisalign-trained dental professional and a CEREC-trained provider, with additional training in WaterLase laser technology and endodontics through Kerr.
Dr. Greer works closely with Glidewell Dental Laboratories and other respected labs across the country to provide high-quality, customized restorations. Throughout his career, he has helped create more than 1,000 smiles through treatments including dental implants, implant crowns and dentures, crowns, veneers, Invisalign, full and partial dentures, and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Greer has been involved with the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and Christian Medical and Dental Association. His career was deeply influenced by Dr. John Morgan, a Mobile Bay-area orthodontist who passed away from brain cancer in 2001. Inspired by Dr. Morgan’s legacy, Dr. Greer pursued dentistry and established Sweet Water Dentistry in his honor.
He has also served on mission trips, providing oral healthcare in Latin American countries. Outside the office, Dr. Greer enjoys being active in the community through organizations including Fairhope Sunset Rotary, Kiwanis Club, Kairos Prison Ministry, the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, and local churches. He and his wife, Ashley, share three children.
